Grant Huang
My name is Grant Huang. I hold Master Group, Certified Free Skating, Registered Moves in the Field, and Registered Choreography Ratings from the Professional
Skating Association (PSA). I am also a registered coach with USFS and am a PSA CER Category A Compliant coach. I have been teaching professionally for 5 years and recreationally
for 12 years.
I have taken students through Senior Moves, Junior Freeskate, and Pre-Bronze Ice Dance Test. I have taken skaters to Southwestern Regional and National Showcase, also taken skater to
Midwestern Sectional as a supplemental coach.
I am a double gold medalist in Moves in the Field and Free Skating. I have also passed 2 of my Pre-Silver Dances,
Juvenile Pairs, and ISI Freestyle 8 tests. I am the 2011 Adult National Masters Junior/Senior Men’s Champion, 3 times Adult National Masters Junior/Senior men’s Bronze Medalist, 4 times
Midwestern Adult Sectional Silver Medalist, 2012 Adult National Masters Men’s Light Entertainment and Dramatic Showcase Champion.
My Coaches were Kevin Kurth, Karen Hutter-Branson, Evelyn Gwi and Phillip Patterson when I was training in St. Louis. I took from Maryhelen-Lindsay and Katie Holmes when I skated in
Kansas City. I graduated with my Master of Architecture degree in 2009. I love to teach beginner skaters to advance skaters. I specialize in Freeskate, Moves in the field,
choreography, off-ice conditioning, and partial ice dance and pairs.
