Skate KC goes virtual in 2021!

Based on the current COVID-19 pandemic, Kansas City Figure Skating Club has made the decision to host the first ever Skate Kansas City Virtual Challenge!  This event is not sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.

The virtual challenge will include short programs, free skates, jumps and spins events. All events will be judged using current IJS rules. Critiques will be offered for well-balanced short programs and free skates for Juvenile through Senior levels.

Registration and video uploads are due no later than March 28, 2021.  No late entries will be accepted.  Events will be judged from April 1-11.  Protocols will be sent to competitors the week of April 15.   Critiques will be hosted between April 15-30.

Skate KC Video Recording Opportunity

The Kansas City FSC has reserved two hours of ice at KCIC on Tuesday, March 23rd from 5-7pm to give skaters the opportunity to perform their programs in front of people and to record them.

A videographer will NOT be provided by the club, so each skater is responsible for bringing their own recording device. It is recommended that you have two different people recording the performance in case there is an issue with one recording device.

The cost is $30 per program, payable by cash or check on the 23rd. Skaters may sign-up here.

You can find video recording instructions on the Kansas City FSC website under Skate KC or by following this link.
